We’re thrilled to announce the first AuthorAID event of the year: a 2-part webinar series on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) in academic research and writing. Led by our AuthorAID steward, Nafisa M. K. Elehamer, this series is designed to equip you with practical insights and tools to revolutionize your academic workflows.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How AI tools like Heuristi and Chisquares AI Toolkit can enhance brainstorming and research question formulation.
  • Using Prexiplicty, Elicit, and Typesit for literature reviews, data extraction, and writing.
  • Identifying relevant publications with ResearchPal and interacting with papers using Chat with PDF.
  • Strategies to outline your manuscript, reduce plagiarism, and assess readiness with Paperpal.
  • Additional resources to improve productivity and ensure ethical AI use in academia.

Bio of facilitator: 

Nafisa M.K. Elehamer is a lecturer and PhD candidate specializing in public health and epidemiology. She demonstrates a keen interest in academic research and AI applications, having presented to faculty staff at the Technical School of Karbala on using artificial intelligence to improve research writing. Nafisa currently serves as a steward at INASP and holds committee membership in Systematic review and meta-analysis (SRN); additionally, she is part of the ReachSci team and a member of the African Science Frontiers Initiative (ASFI) and Global Researcher Club (GRC).
